It is known from regular press conference held by Ministry of Health, that after publishing the national standard of daily safety, the Ministry of Health will organize and carry out tracking assessment which refer to international standard, in order to keep revising and improving the national dairy safety standards by hearing the comments from public.

From the end of 2008, the Ministry of Health and other related departments have integrated and improved the existing 160 dairy standards into 66 national dairy safety standards. These standards published by Ministry of Health at the 26 March 2010, which including 15 standards on dairy product (including raw milk, foods for infants and young children and dairy products, etc.), 2 standards on manufacturing practice and 49 standards on testing methods, these standards solved the problem of the old standards such as cross section, conflicts, lack of important indicators etc.

Mr. CHEN Rui pointed out that comparing to the old standards; new standards have the following feartures: 1. ensures the scientificity of standards by based on the food safety risk assessment and hearing opoions wildy during the formulating processures; 2. reflects the mandatory of standards by highlighting the limit that closely relate to human health; 3. showing the uniformity of standards by integrating the mandatory content of food safety standards, quality standards, safety standards of agricultural-products and industry standards; 4. showing the authority and operability of the standards by paying attention to the cultural conditions and industrial pracitce, focusing on implementation, at the same time simplified the content and format of standards, clears the specialized department; 5.refer to the CAC standard, modified the microorganism indicators systematicly, and improved the microorganism sampling methods according to the general international principles, which in line with the requirement of international standards.
