On the 6th of October 2009, Standardization Administration of China (SAC) has published the < National Standard of the P.R.C., Safety Rules for Lifting Appliances-Part1:General > (G/TBT/N/CHN/685) in order to protect human health and safety.
Articles 3.1, 3.3.3 - 3.3.11, 3.4, 3.5, 3.6.4, 3.6.5, 3.7.1.2, 3.7.1.4, 3.7.2.3, 3.8, 3.9, 4.1, 4.2.1- 4.2.5, 4.2.6.1- 4.2.6.4, 4.2.6.6, 5.1, 5.5, 5.6, 5.8, 5.9, 5.11 - 5.13, 6.2, 7.6- 7.8, 8, 9, 10.1.4, 10.1.5, 13.3- 13.5, 13.7.1,13.7.2, 15.3.3 and 16- 18 of this standard are mandatory, the remainings are recommended. The contents of mandatory items are the basic safety requirements of design, manufacture, installation, alteration, maintenance, use, discard and inspection for lifting appliances.
The proposed date of adoption will be 90 days after circulation by the WTO Secretariat, and this will entry into force 6 months after the adoption.
