Standardization Administration of China (SAC) has published the new national standard of Flat panel televisions (ICS: 27.010, HS: 8528) on the 5 October 2009.

Articles 4.2 and 4.4 of this Standard are mandatory, the remainings are recommended. The contents of mandatory items are the energy efficiency grades, minimum allowable values of energy efficiency, evaluating values of energy conservation, energy efficiency and passive standby power for flat-panel TV.

This standard will entry into force 6 months after adoption.
