Compulsory certification standards GB7251.5-2008 <Low-voltage switchgear and controlgear assemblies Part 5: Particular requirements for assemblies intended to be installed outdoors in public places--Cable distribution cabinets (CDCs)for power distribution in networks> has published and will take into force from the 1st of June, 2009. In order to ensure the effective implementation of compulsory certification system, according to the notice of issues relating to the amendments on compulsory certification standards, CNCA published a notice on the matters corresponding to the new standards for Cable distribution cabinets (CDCs)for power distribution in networks.

From the date of publication to the 31st May 2009, applicants can choose to apply for the certification in accordance with either the GB7251.5-2008 standard (new version) or the GB7251.5-1998 standard (old version). From the 1st of June, 2009, certification bodies will approve and issue the certificates by implementing the new standard.
